Melissa McCarthy’s Animal-Free Line Gets PETA’s Stamp of Approval

Melissa McCarthy’s new clothing line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7, is completely animal-free and officially PETA-approved. This morning, we added it to our compassionate clothing guide and highlighted the collection on our How to Wear Vegan page, both of which reach hundreds of thousands of people looking for animal-friendly products each week. As PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman puts it, “PETA is thrilled that Melissa’s all-size line appeals to women with plus-size hearts for animals. As more and more people ditch animal-derived products every day, we’re inundated with questions about where to buy the trendiest products that don’t harm animals.”

McCarthy joins a long list of leading ladies who’ve launched animal-friendly products that PETA currently promotes, including cruelty-free makeup lines by Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, and Drew Barrymore. In addition to featuring Seven7 on PETA’s sites, we’re also promoting it this week to our 3 million News subscribers and through our tweets, which are viewed, on average, 42 million times per month.
