Attendees at Resorts Casino Hotel’s luxury watch show in Atlantic City on Thursday will get an eyeful as two sexy PETA members—wearing little more than green bodypaint to look like snakes—take to the streets to remind passersby to leave exotic skins out of their wardrobes. The duo wants attendees to know that animals suffer when their skin is torn from their bodies to make clothing and accessories.

Where:           Resorts Casino Hotel, 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City

When:             Thursday, July 30, 12 p.m.

“It’s time for watchmakers to switch from exotic skins to animal-free wristbands,” says PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews.

Celebrities and everyday shoppers alike rave about Stella McCartney’s faux-snakeskin designs, and top retailers—including Topshop, Ann Taylor, Adidas, and H&M—steer clear of exotic skins, for good reason. As PETA’s shocking exposé, narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, reveals, reptiles die slowly and in agony before they’re turned into crocodile backpacks and python pumps.
