It is not only that going vegan is easy and, unlike drugs to lower cholesterol, the only side effects are good health, but billions of animals are mutilated on factory farms, transported in all weather extremes, and killed inhumanely in the slaughterhouse because of the nation’s addiction to meat, and all that can stop. Health costs are astronomical, drugs cost money, and the pharmaceutical industry is profiting from American’s lack of will, reluctance to change, and failure to face the environmental, ethical, and health costs of sticking with steak, eggs, and chicken nuggets.
