This Is What Mother’s Day Looks Like Inside an NIH Laboratory
There won’t be any snuggling, eating together, enjoying the sunshine, or playing. For mother and baby monkeys who are being used in maternal-deprivation experiments in taxpayer-funded laboratories at a National Institutes of Health (NIH) facility in Poolesville, Maryland, Mother’s Day will only mean separation, loneliness, and the ever-present threat of experimenters. Here, one baby monkey tells his story:
NIH continues to fund these psychological torture experiments even though the experimenters themselves admit that the results aren’t applicable to our treatment of human psychological trauma or brain disorders.
But you can help these animals. Ask NIH to stop using your tax money to torment mother and infant monkeys in cruel, useless experiments today.
