Whether you’re on the road or meeting a friend for lunch, fast food* can sometimes be your only option—but an order of large fries and a side salad isn’t likely to fill your stomach. Here are some of our favorite vegan menu options and combinations from fast-food chains across the U.S. that won’t leave you hungry for more:
Pizza Hut
Order a pizza with Thin ‘N Crispy or Hand Tossed Crust and Classic Marinara, Premium Crushed Tomato, Buffalo, or Barbeque Sauce. Top it off with as many vegetables as you want, and make sure you say, “No cheese, please!” If you’re feeling extra hungry, the dessert crust is vegan, too. Not near a Pizza Hut? Try one of these other vegan-friendly pizza places.
Del Taco
Ask for a few 8 Layer Veggie Burritos with red or green sauce—but make sure that you hold the cheese and sour cream. The 1/2 lb. Bean & Cheese Burrito with your choice of red or green sauce (and, of course, no cheese) is another filling option.
Dunkin’ Donuts
Get an order of hash browns with your bagel! Vegan bagel flavors include Cinnamon Raisin, Everything, Garlic, Onion, Plain, Poppy Seed, Pumpernickel, Salt, Sesame Seed, and Sundried Tomato. Order a cup of hot, steaming Toasted Almond coffee to complete your breakfast—check to see if a location near you offers almond milk.
Subway
Get a foot-long Veggie Delite sandwich on Italian bread—fresh or toasted. Add your favorite vegetables and one or more of the dairy- and egg-free sauces, including mustard, oil, vinegar, or sweet onion sauce. Load it with avocado to help fill you up.
Taco Bell
Order a Crunchwrap Supreme—just substitute beans for beef and hold the sour cream and nacho cheese. Add some guacamole and potatoes to make it more filling. And if you’re still hungry, have it with a bean burrito—Fresco Style—and an order of cilantro rice on the side.
