PETA Contracts With ‘Dogs Finding Dogs’ to Seek Three Dogs Allegedly Abandoned by Landlord

Eleven days ago, three dogs, ages 5 months to 12 years, were allegedly removed from a Corning home by the building’s landlord and dumped in the Perry State Forest. The dogs’ human family members have been frantically searching for them but have made no progress, prompting PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—to contract with Dogs Finding Dogs, a nonprofit organization that works with scent dogs to find lost animal companions. Dogs Finding Dogs will begin combing the Perry State Forest early this week.

“These dogs have already faced some of this winter’s most chilling temperatures, and they may still be wandering in the forest, lost, terrified, starving, and freezing,” says PETA Senior Vice President Daphna Nachminovitch. “PETA urges anyone with any information about these dogs or their location to come forward now—and possibly save a life.”
