Just in time for Super Bowl XLIX, two sexy PETA “referees” are coming to downtown Pittsburgh, where they’ll wear body-hugging striped mini-dresses as they hand out more than $1,000 worth of mouthwatering meat-free wings to passersby. PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—hopes Super Bowl viewers will consider the more than 300 million chickens who will be slaughtered for just this one game and choose vegan fare.

When:    Thursday, January 29, 12 p.m.

Where:   At the intersection of Market Square and Market Street, Pittsburgh

“Vegan game-day snacks are kind to animals and better for our health— back-to-back touchdowns for the win!”,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “By giving away delicious vegan wings, PETA hopes to turn football fans on to the many cruelty-free options available for game day.”

Tasty, healthy, and cruelty-free game-day snacks—which have none of the animal fat or cholesterol found in meat and dairy products—are widely available in grocery stores, and free recipes for unforgettable Super Bowl fare are available on PETA’s website.
