Look Who’s Naked in the Latest PETA Ad
Wool isn’t cool. In fact, it’s downright cold. So to spread the word, PETA got some D.C. landmarks ready for winter in warm, sheep-friendly style:
Why is wearing wool so cold?
PETA’s recent exposé of the wool industry in the U.S. and Australia, where 90 percent of the world’s merino wool comes from, showed that workers violently punched sheep in the face, stomped and stood on their heads and necks, beat them, slammed them to the floor, and jabbed them in the face with electric clippers and a hammer. Some sheep died from the abuse.
It’s easy to have warm hands and a warm heart this winter by choosing clothing made from cruelty-free fabrics, such as cotton, bamboo, polyester fleece, Polartec®, TENCEL®, and rayon.
Spread the word about #WoolFreeWinter to encourage everyone to make the leap and save a sheep.
