As the harried shoppers scanned their lists, our “sheep” let them know that one thing they definitely shouldn’t fight the crowds for is wool. Every item that contains wool is the result of suffering—even if no one got hurt by a bully shopper at the sweater display.

PETA’s international exposé of the major wool-producing regions of Australia and the U.S. showed workers who punched sheep, stomped and stood on their heads and necks, threw them, mutilated them with sharp metal clippers, and even beat them in the face with electric clippers and a hammer. Some sheep even died from the abuse. That doesn’t sound like holiday spirit to us.

Sheep aren’t really “sheepish,” and you shouldn’t be, either! Check out our #WoolFreeWinter site to find out how you can help people keep from being wooly bullies this winter.
