On May 19, two dogs, who appeared to have been shot in the head, were found hanging by their legs from a tree just west of Dinsmore. A nearby sign read, “All stray dogs will die!!!” Because police still have yet to make any arrests in the case, PETA is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these violent crimes.
Would you please consider sharing this information with your audience? It might be the only way to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.
“Whoever is responsible for executing these dogs and hanging them from a tree must be found, for everyone’s sake,” says PETA Director Martin Mersereau. “People who hurt animals are often repeat offenders who pose a serious risk to all animals—including humans—so PETA urges anyone with information to come forward now, before these dogs’ attacker claims another victim.”
Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251.
