Swimsuit season’s here―wanna get buff without beef? That’s the theme of a free talk by vegan lifestyle coach and certified personal trainer Zachary Koval that will be held at VIDA Fitness on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. Koval, a gay model who won PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian contest, also stars in a new poster that will be on display at VIDA Fitness. In the ad (viewable here), he displays his hunky torso next to the caption “Killer Body. Clear Conscience. Try Vegan.”
When: Thursday, May 8, 7:30 p.m.
Where: VIDA Fitness, Washington
We hope you’ll consider running an advance item about this. Koval will teach his audience how to get beefy muscles without resorting to a beefy diet and will share information on the best vegan protein-rich foods for athletes. His talk is quite timely considering veganism’s recent spike in popularity among health-conscious Americans. Not only are luminaries such as Bill Clinton and Al Gore going vegan, superstars such as Beyoncé and Jay-Z are also talking openly about their love affair with vegan cuisine. (The two made headlines for their one-month vegan “cleanse” in 2013.) One poll by Nation’s Restaurant News even dubbed vegan food a “hot new trend” of 2014.
