New Hampshire Allows Students to Opt Out of Animal Dissection

Following discussions with PETA, the New Hampshire State Board of Education adopted a progressive dissection-choice policy that allows compassionate students throughout the state to opt out of animal dissection and be provided with modern computer simulations and other humane methods instead. PETA provided the state with an extensive list of free and for-pay non-animal teaching resources and has offered to help teachers identify and obtain the most effective alternatives to dissection.
