Jimmy Fallon Says Carriage Claims Are Horsefeathers
Rest easy, Tonight Show viewers: Jimmy Fallon does not support Liam Neeson’s bizarre tirade to keep horses working as beasts of burden pulling carriages in Manhattan traffic. After Fallon tried to set Neeson at ease with small talk after his illogical on-air outbursts, New York City horse-carriage driver and industry spokesperson Christina Hansen boasted in interviews, “We’ve got Liam Neeson and Jimmy Fallon.” But that was news to Fallon, whose rep confirmed to PETA that he takes no side in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s heroic plan to retire the horses forced to pound the pavement amid sirens and horns.
Oddly, carriage driver Hansen even decried PETA pal P!nk for wanting to adopt one of New York’s beleaguered carriage horses—many of whom have been sent to slaughter by drivers after becoming too weak to pull heavy loads of tourists. But you can officially ignore Hansen’s ravings, animal-loving Fallon fans—and get back to watching his latest lip sync battle!
