Who can resist the perfect combination of chocolate and hazelnuts? The answer is no one. Unfortunately, Nutella contains whey and skim milk, which means it’s unkind to bovines. While the Ferrero brand launched a vegan version—Nutella Plant-Based—in Europe, this product has yet to make its way across the Atlantic to grocery store shelves in the U.S. Nutella Plant-Based is made with chickpeas and rice syrup instead of dairy stolen from cows.
