Ahead of Valentine’s Day, PETA is playing Cupid for would-be lovers by hosting its first-ever vegan speed dating event. The virtual gathering will take place on February 12 and offer a chance for vegan and pre-vegan singles to make ha-pea connections with people who share their passion for kindness (and possibly kale).
Attendees will spend seven minutes each with seven different singles who match their dating criteria. Tickets are $15 through February 6 and $20 from February 7 until signup ends at 4 p.m. EST on February 12. Ten lucky human beans will win a free ticket by entering on PETA’s Instagram.
Where: Sign up at PETA.org/VeganDate
When: Wednesday, February 12, 9 p.m. EST
“Kindness is one trait that makes everyone’s heart beet faster,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA encourages anyone looking for a meat-free match to find them at our inaugural vegan speed dating event.”
Twenty-five percent of proceeds from PETA’s speed dating event will go to support PETA’s vital mission to end animal exploitation. PETA offers a free vegan starter kit for anyone thinking of making the switch—or looking for delicious recipes to impress their date.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
