Men’s Wearhouse Stops Selling Wild-Animal Skins!
After meeting with PETA, Tailored Brands – which owns Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Banks, Moore’s, and K&G Fashion Superstore – committed to no longer selling shoes made from alligator, ostrich, or any other wild-animal skin. In this industry, alligators are packed on top of each other in dank pools before being slaughtered for their skins, and one-year-old ostriches are electrically stunned, and their throats are slit in full view of their terrified flockmates. Although more than one hundred brands have stopped selling wild-animal skins, Pharrell Williams—Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director—still supports this cruelty.
