Spotted at PETA: Serena and Blair, Feline Besties Available for Adoption

Wakey-wakey, East Coasters. Gossip Girl here—and I have the biggest news ever. One of my many sources, @SavedBySnapchat, sends us this: “Spotted in Norfolk, Virginia—perhaps following an overindulgent summer break: Serena and Blair, in search of a truly permanent home.” Our “it” girls were safe and sound in northeastern North Carolina just a few weeks ago, but suddenly they’re back in PETA’s care. Don’t believe me? See for yourselves. Thanks for the photos, Oreo.

What’s the chatter on these adoptable gals? That’s a secret I will tell.

Serena and Blair’s guardian passed away unexpectedly, and their extended human family refused to take them in. Some might call this a fustercluck, but for PETA fieldworkers, unfortunately, it’s called a Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, the family remembered that PETA had spayed the orange tabbies and transported them to and from their appointments, all free of charge, and called our fieldworkers for help.

There’s nothing this Gossip Girl likes less than a catfight. And although these bonded felines have each other, they’re the lonely ones now.

Realizing that the 5-year-old girls were overweight and shaken from losing their beloved guardian of many years, the PETA fieldworker—who drove roughly four hours roundtrip to scoop them up from the folks who were relinquishing them—brought the pair home to foster. With a little TLC, Serena and Blair were quick to prove they’re feline fine.

East Coast queens aren’t born at the top. They claw their way up the cat tree. And these BFFs are no exception

Like their human counterparts on The CW, these girls are best friends with unique personalities. Serena is lighter in color and more outgoing. She’s first to bat around a catnip toy or strike up a flirty convo with the household tomcats. Darker-orange Blair, on the other hand, can be a little shyer. She might make you put in the work, but once you prove your worthiness—trust her foster guardian—she’ll reward you with purrs and cuddles.

Just like her TV brunette equivalent, earning this four-legged Queen B’s heart is well worth it.

Although they might claim to prefer a Fifth Avenue penthouse with views of Central Park, Serena and Blair are up for traveling to any East Coast home—as long as they’ll be treated like the “it” girls they are.
