The Colorado Rockies’ stadium has hit a home run for animals—and PETA is taking notice. The group just named Coors Field one of North America’s most vegan-friendly ballparks, thanks to an animal-friendly menu that includes craveable vegan cheeseburgers and dairy-free shakes from the stadium’s new all-vegan food stand, Better-Off Burgers.

Rockies fans hankering for a mouthwatering, melty meat-free cheeseburger can choose from Better-Off Burgers’ The Original with vegan cheddar, burger sauce, and pickles or a Chorizo Burger with “chorizo,” vegan smoked gouda, roasted peppers, Bibb lettuce, and dairy-free chipotle aioli. The burger stand also offers a Medi Burger with za’atar, carrot sumac slaw, vegan harissa mayo, olive tapenade, and Bibb lettuce as well as dairy-free tahini shakes in vanilla or strawberry. Coors Field’s food service company says the addition of Better-Off Burgers aligns with its goal of catering to the Rockies’ diverse fan base and reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by animal agriculture.

“From meat-free burgers topped with savory vegan cheese to delicious dairy-free shakes, Coors Field’s vegan offerings will have Rockies fans rooting for more,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “All the stadiums on PETA’s list are knocking it out of the park with food that leaves animals in peace—not in pieces.”

Other top ballparks recognized by PETA include the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park, the Chicago White Sox’s Guaranteed Rate Field, the New York Mets’ Citi Field, the New York Yankees’ Yankee Stadium, the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, the San Francisco Giants’ Oracle Park, the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field, the Toronto Blue Jays’ Rogers Centre, and the Washington Nationals’ Nationals Park.

Every person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals each year daily suffering and a terrifying death and reduces their own risk of developing heart disease and cancer. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help those looking to make the switch.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
