The Texas Rangers’ stadium has hit a home run for animals—and PETA is taking notice. The group just named Globe Life Field one of North America’s most vegan-friendly ballparks, thanks to an animal-friendly menu that includes the standout PLT Sandwich—a balsamic-glazed, grilled portabella mushroom topped with Bibb lettuce, sliced tomato, and a slathering of vegan mayonnaise served on freshly baked bread—from the stadium’s Visiting Vegan cart.

Other options from Visiting Vegan include classic stadium fare, such as meat-free burgers, hot dogs, and nuggets, plus a heaping plate of vegan nachos drizzled with dairy-free cheese. In addition, Rangers fans looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can indulge at the stadium’s Oatly stand, which dishes out top-notch creamy vegan soft serve.

“From an artisanal portabella sandwich to delicious dairy-free ice cream, Globe Life Field’s offerings will have Rangers fans rooting for more,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “All the stadiums on PETA’s list are knocking it out of the park with food that leaves animals in peace—not in pieces.”

Other top ballparks recognized by PETA include the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park, the Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field, the Chicago White Sox’s Guaranteed Rate Field, the New York Mets’ Citi Field, the New York Yankees’ Yankee Stadium, the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, the San Francisco Giants’ Oracle Park, the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park, the Toronto Blue Jays’ Rogers Centre, and the Washington Nationals’ Nationals Park.

Every person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals each year daily suffering and a terrifying death and reduces their own risk of developing heart disease and cancer. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help those looking to make the switch.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
