Colombia Votes to End Bullfighting

Colombia’s Congress votes to end the depraved practice of torturing bulls to death for entertainment! Thanks to the many compassionate Colombians who spoke out against this horrific bloody spectacle, including our friends at Colombia Sin Toreo, terrified bulls will no longer be stabbed repeatedly while crowds cheer their slow and painful deaths. For years, PETA Latino created awareness of the cruelty inherent in bullfighting in Colombia through action and e-mail alerts and blog and social media posts. Thousands of people contacted their representatives asking them to pass this law, and actor and model Juan Pablo Llano sent a letter to legislators.
