Chopped “Liver” Spread

- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 Tbsp. water
Instructions
- Warm the oil in a large pan. Sauté the mushrooms and onion for 8 minutes.
- Transfer to a blender or food processor. Add the walnuts, salt, pepper, and water. Blend until smooth.
- Serve as a spread for matzo.
Makes 6 to 8 servings
