Dukal Stops Manufacturing Circus-Themed Bandages

After hearing from PETA, medical product manufacturer Dukal Corporation stopped offering bandages that feature depictions of animals being exploited in circuses. It followed the lead of other major companies that have dropped cruel circus imagery following prompts from PETA, including Trader Joe’s and Nabisco. As more and more companies redesign their products to reflect evolving values, we move closer to putting an end to circuses that beat, shock, chain, and whip tigers, elephants, bears, and other animals in order to intimidate them into performing confusing and painful tricks. Please join us in urging Shriners International to end its shameful history of supporting animal exploitation and stop using animal acts in its fundraisers—because times have changed, as evidenced by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus’ decision to feature only willing human performers.
