PETA Dog Defenders to Hound Texas A&M Board of Regents

Tomorrow, a pack of PETA supporters will hold a flaunting during the Texas A&M University Board of Regents meeting to demand that the school allow the 19 dogs who were born in the school’s notorious canine muscular dystrophy laboratory to be adopted into loving homes. Nine of the dogs, who are currently held in the veterinary school’s teaching laboratory, are healthy, and PETA wants them released for adoption immediately.

When:    Thursday, November 18, 1:30 p.m.

Where:    Memorial Student Center, Bethancourt Ballroom, 275 Joe Routt Blvd. (near Lamar Street), College Station

“The healthy dogs who have been removed from the canine muscular dystrophy laboratory need to go to real homes immediately,” says PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo. “These dogs’ lives have been hijacked long enough.”

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to experiment on”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview.
