Ahead of Halloween, PETA has teamed up with former Playboy model Crystal Hefner and vegan beauty subscription service Kinder Beauty to launch a spooktacular set of cruelty-free products to help turn anyone into a bonea fide beauty queen. Now available for purchase, the boxes should fly off shelves quickly, as last year’s set sold out within 48 hours!
Perfect for anyone who isn’t sure witch vegan cosmetics to try, this limited-edition beauty box is packed with skin-care treats, including Witches Brew soap, a Māhealani Moonlit Glow Balm from Honua Hawaiian Skincare, a Good for You Gloss from Ecco Bella, a glow-in-the-dark, ghost-shaped makeup sponge, and more. And because 20% of proceeds will benefit PETA’s work for animals, the $54 box—which is valued at $175—will have recipients feeling bootiful inside and out.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to experiment on” and which opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview—notes that some personal-care companies still pay for tests on animals in other countries in which chemicals are applied to their skin or dripped into their eyes.
The group spells out which cosmetics brands are cruelty-free here. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
